Hello dear Lumbago as a diagnosis is vague. Lumbago just says you have low back pain. It is more of a symptom and not a diagnosis. It could be lumbar spondylosis or lumbar can stenosis or an osteoporosis even. You have to provide more information for me to have an understanding of your condition. Now regarding your query, just to repeat the previous medicines i think contacting the primary doctor would be the most appropriate option. i don't continue anyone else's medicines without a thorough understanding. Regards Dr Vipin Gupta

Back pain with lower limb weakness should not be ignored. The patient might be a candidate for decompression of his spine with a surgery. Imaging with an MRI and a thorough evaluation with a spine surgeon is essential. Unlikely that the patient would improve with just oral medications
Next Steps
spine specialist consultation
