I have lumbar spondylosis l4l5 last 4 yrs and get lower back pain along with hip joint pain on and off. I am managing the. Pain.
I am 76kg and 165cm height BMI around 28. Over weight in belly and thighs.
Need advice if I can go to a gym for my weight loss. If yes what is the limitations i need to take care.
I am 40+ yrs old and 20 yrs of computer software work.
Seriously thinking to have a personal gym trainer. Please help.

It will be very difficult to manage gym with lumbar spondylosis. Is it advisable to avoid heavy weight lifting, bending forward and any strain on lower back .

So lumbar spondylosis is a common problem these days, you shouldn’t be so distressed to begin with and as far as gym is concerned , you can definitely hit the gym but with certain precautions , you need to strictly certain exercises like heavy deadlifts, weighted squats and T-Bar rowing and to address the issue better try to avoid back exercises with weights more than 30 kha
