Hi doctor,
My doctor said lung maturity injection is Mandatory for all ladies as per the govt of India rule..is it true? Please confirm

It's only in case of preterm delivery... Before 34 wks.. Some Doctors recommend it if pregnancy is expected within 37 completed wks.( Indicated cases only) But it's not at all required routinely for normal mother.

Lung maturity injection is beneficial for baby born before 39 weeks

Since it is pandemic time you may end up in emergency delivery before 39 weeks. Hence it is advisable

Routinely not recommended but yes if Dr expecting early delivery before 36 wks than its recommended
