Malignant neoplasm in anus mouth (6cm)
My mother is diagnosed with a malignant tumor of approx 6cm in size at the anus mouth inwards. The infection has not spread to any other body part. Onco surgeon is suggesting to remove the tumor by surgery and close the anus mouth by creating another passage near abdomen. Will this be permanent or temporary till the treatment is done ? I have attached all the reports (biopsy and CT scan) Kindly suggest what can be the treatment and what is the severity.

The permanent or temporary colostomy placement depending upon location of tumor how much distance from anus. If the tumor in upper rectum means, colostomy may be temporary. But tumor in lower rectum or anorectal junction means patient may land up with permanent colostomy. As per CT scan looks like anorectal junction. So patient may require permanent colostomy. But treating oncologist only can give correct opinion
