Hello
I have suffered from meniscus tear on left knee .. it is grade 3 medial meniscus tear. It happened in the month of July . And MRI scan was conducted in September. I have given rest and now little bit pain and light swelling is present . So my question is - do I need to go for surgery ? At moment 50 percent pain is reduced

Hi. Medial meniscus tear can heal if given appropriate rest but it needs to be reevaluated after 6 weeks. If pain still persisting then better to go for surgery as medial meniscus will heal giving its best results if you repair it before 3 months of injury. So wait but don't wait too long
