Meniscus Tear
I am a defense personnel. My Knee got twisted on 16 oct. Mild swelling and pain since then. MRI report shows Complex full thickness tear in medial meniscus. Adviced by a Dr. for arthroscopy. However another Dr adviced for 3 weeks physiotherapy. Now I want to know if surgery is mandatory or physiotherapy can help. No instability of knee, only click sound sometimes, mild pain.

It is nearly a month since injury. Do physiotherapy for 4 to 6 wk.
If you get relief, it's fine. If not, then go for arthoscopy.

Physiotherapy can't help in a fully thickness meniscus tear.
As the injury is a month old now, less chances are that it will heal with rest.
