Mild hearing loss
Hi. I travelled in a flight last week. Due to high altitude I got ear pain and it got relieved while landing at airport. But I feel some fullness in my right ear for past 4 days. I searched in net then I found its called airplane ear and it's self limiting. I need a opinion . Whether I can wait for few days to consult ent specialist or I can take self medication if necessary. I m doctor working in Aravind eye hospital Coimbatore.

Hi, In case you suffered cold or cough during the flight or sometime before this travel, this may indicate an infection or just mild fluid behind the ear drum which is causing the feeling of fullness.
Next Steps
I would suggest you to not wait and consult the ENT and also get Tympanometry so that it doesn't get worse.
