Milk for 8 months old baby
Hi, My eight months old baby is hardly drinking 400 to 500 ml whole day. She is interested in eating solids. Is that fine or we have to increase milk feeding?

100ml of milk contains approximately 77 kcal ,on the other hand 100 ml of milk related products like curd, paneer, ghee has nearly 150kcal.So better to shift to calorie & protein dense semi solids food to prevent malnutrition.
Next Steps
Give variety of finger foods from 9 months onwards
Health Tips
Maintain good food cup, bottle and hand hygiene.

Helo Firstly - As your child is 8month old and as complimentary feeds already started post 6 months Exclusive breast feeding advised upto 6 months only Later complimentary feeds shud be started as milk alone wil not make the calorie sufficient for growing baby Secondly As child is growing most kids tend to take other feeds which is good both for baby and parents Here when he’s taking solid food specially rice and all please add 1/2 tsp of ghee in each feed and encourage him to take fruits also Milk the quantity he’s taking is enough
Next Steps
Continue milk intake
Health Tips
Do add ghee in most of his feeds
