Mini Trephines
Is there an alternative way of finding the Frontal Sinus Ostia (Openings) than using Mini Trephines as they sound quite painful and invasive?

Have you had a CT scan of your sinuses in 3 planes to demonstrate the obstruction to your frontal sinus ostia?. A CT scan with 3d reconstruction is still the best non invasive alternative to see an obstruction. The cause of the obstruction will determine the best approach to treat it. Endoscopic surgery may be the alternative you are looking for. Treatment plan is specific to the patient depending on the cause of the symptoms. Mini trephines are less frequently used but still may be the best option in specific cases.
