Mood changes
I’ve been taking citalopram for nearly about 9 months now, to treat my depression. I take 20 mg a day. But lately I have been getting out of control mood swings and irritability and anger. I almost feel like I might have bipolar. Could this be something to do with my medication

Hi, Happy that you are consciously assessing what's happening to you and want to help yourself. Definitely, increased and out of proportion irritability, anger and mood swings associated with persistently increased activity or energy levels; post antidepressants can be indicative of bipolar disorder. It is advisable to discuss the same with your treating Psychiatrist. Also FYI, Homoepathy medicines can effectively help control and revert the symptoms of Depression as well as Bipolar Mood Disorder by treating the root cause with long term benefits and without side effects.
