Mood swings
I have had depression since last spring at some point, and it got worse over time. I have no doubt that it was depression, around August I had almost a week of a sudden upswing, where I was constantly hyper or over alert, which then slowly slipped back to depression. I'm currently 4 days into another round of hyper alertness and I've rapidly switched from euphoria to paranoia to anger, barely sleeping unless I crash for a few hours. Im starting to fear mental problems

Hello From your description it seems like you could be having a bipolar disorder. But a confirm diagnosis can only be made after a detailed evaluation. So just consult a psychiatrist in person for evaluation and treatment if needed.
