My son is 4.5 months old...he always keeps his mouth open...when I try to close it he opens his mouth wider thinking that I am giving something in his mouth

Hi there.. I can understand your worry.. few babies keep there mouth open.. sometimes it's a way of trying to speak, during smiling they open mouth. nothing to worry in that.. it's normal.. and opening mouth when touched sides of mouth is normal and called rooting reflex and present in al babies.. consult paediatrician if your baby is having difficulty in respiration, refusing feeds, inactivity..
