You give him paracetamol in prescribed dosage 4 to 6hourly intervals, do tepid sponging. If still it's high for 2 to 3days, please do consult. He needs an evaluation.

You can give Syp Paracetamol every 4 to 6 hourly.
Make sure there isnt any other sign/symptom which is bothering him.Maintain good diet and hydration.If fever persists kindly Consult.

It could be a viral illness so he's not having a high grade temperature, so I don't think there is nothing much to worry. You can continue paracetamol prescribed by your pediatrician. But if fever persists beyond the four to five days, then we need to go with the blood test or if the child is sick, looking and If you feel. He's not doing OK then consult.
