1 week back i had congestion and thick yellow mucus when sniffed from back of throat. It was blood streaked(happened for only 1-2 days), then on saturday i went to the ENT who said there's nasal polyp, he used scope to see. So my query is, he said the nasal polyp is on right side, however, my nose gets blocked alternatively. I mean when right side is blocked left is open, and left side is blocked, right is open.
Why is this happening? Doctor asked me for CT scan, but i am afraid of Sinus/Nasal cancer now. I know he has seen the polyp with scope. But please guide me on this situation.

Alternate side nasal blockage is due to nasal cycle.
Also nasal polyp is a benign disease. Don’t worry about it. CT scan is the next step. Once you get it done, he will be able to show and explain to you your situation in a better way.

Alternative nasal blockage is due to the nasal cycle.
In case of active infection, doing a CT -PNS scan after a 5 days course of antibiotics is suggested.
