It is advisable not to strain your spine while having pain. Homoeopathy is very effective in spine related problems. Consult nearby homoeopathic physician. After using medication for few days you can start practising some exercises to prevent further reccurance of the complaint.
Health Tips
- Sleep without a pillow or put a folded thin.       bedsheet instead of pillow. - Avoid bending and lifting heavy weights. - practice some breathing exersices. - Use cervical collar if necessary. - If you are a working  for long hours at a stretch try taking some rest in between once half an hour. - If working with laptop continuously make sure that the laptop is kept to eye level so that it minimizes the strain on your cervical spine. - make sure that your seating is also comfortable.

Kindly visit an orthopedician/spine surgeon to properly evaluate you physically and take investigations such as CT/MRI to find the underlying cause of the neck pain and undergo the treatment specific to it.
