Need to confirm Covaxin compatibility
My mother, 60 years old, is suffering from diabetes, hypertension and thyroid. She takes erythromycin medication to make her blood thin along with other medications. Can she take Covaxin in this condition? She heard from some sources that Covaxin is not recommended for people who are either pregnent or taking blood thinning medications. We are trying to avoid Covishield because of the blood clotting issue. Please guide us and confirm.

Erythromycin is not a blood thinner rather an antibiotic. Covaxin and Covishield can be given if patient taking erythromycin. But in immunocompromised condition vaccine should be taken after consult. Diabetes is one of those conditions but if the sugar level are within normal range than there is nothing to worry.
