Only by 6 weeks, treatment is not complete. Ideal treatment is 2mg/kg/day of prednisolone (omnacortil) for 6weeks and 1.5 mg/kg/day for 6weeks. If you have stopped before completing maintenance dose it will come back. So you have to take maintenance dose for 6 weeks now. If the child is getting any kind of infection also, proteinuria will come back. So child needs to be examined. 2+ proteinuria you wait currently, continue maintenance dose and repeat the test after 1 week. Nephrotic syndrome is a relapsing and remitting disease.
