Hi there, A lot was written about ERP for years but now a day , a great focus is on CBT. But in my opinion, Psychological interventions alone don’t work. So anti-obsessional drugs are also to be taken. So take the help of a psychiatrist in addition to the psychological interventions.

Hello there. Sorry to hear that CBT didn't work out well for you. Among therapies for OCD, both CBT and ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) are recommended. CBT has a lesser dropout perhaps but may also have a lesser response while ERP has more dropouts but better results. Since you have already tried CBT you could go for ERP now. Perhaps in combination with cognitive therapy you may get better results. Additionally for ERP to work well you need to be committed and practice regularly. Also if you are on medications please take it regularly except perhaps benzodiazepenes (kindly discuss with your psychiatrist about stopping it). Allow your therapist to push you to face your anxieties. Exposure works only if you allow yourself to get exposed to anxiety. Best wishes.
Next Steps
Find yourself in a psychologist trained/specialized in ERP.
