Hello,
OCD is manageable with a combination of medication and regular psychotherapy. Please do not be disheartened in seeking help from a psychologist, if you've had a bad experience in the past. Mental Health care training in India is limited and unfortunately both doctors and patients suffer.
You can get in touch with Mr. Rohan Pande in Pune. You can get is number from the website www.rationallyyours.com

Hi, for treatment of OCD you will have to visit a Psychiatrist. The treatment for OCD would usually involve anti-obsessive medication for a short duration ( of course depending on the stage of the disorder ) , followed by counseling . Medication is usually given initially for most patients but if you follow it up with counseling the improvement will be better and long lasting.
Usually Cognitive Behavior Therapy helps to improve the Compulsive behaviors and faulty obsessive thoughts.
The Psychiatrist you go to may themselves do the counseling or refer you to a Psychologist for that.
Do not worry about taking medication as today we have very good anti-obsessive medication. Taken in the right dosage, there will be marked improvement in symptoms and no side effects.
Try to chose a Psychiatrist who specializes in counseling as your brother will need that for long term improvement and to eventually be off medication.
I am not specifically aware of any Psychiatrist in Pune as I am from Mumbai, but you can ask your family doctor to guide you.
Hope this helps, do call if you need more clarity. All the Best!
