Opinion on Mental health
My dad for the past few days , is behaving Very different as in not responding much and staying alone in a room most of the time. He looks tensed all the time and doesn't mingle with us. Shows a very suspicious behaviour towards everyone. He has turned pale and week and have lost appetite. We are consulting Tata motors hospital currently and the doctor has kept him on a medicine named respond. Please suggest your opinion on the same.

Hello practo user I can understand the difficult situation that you and your family must be going through. It seems that your father is undergoing some stress either personal or professional which he is unable to share with anyone and that might be causing these distressing symptoms. As a family you can try and motivate him to spend some quality time and engage with him in his past enjoyable activities or hobbies . Try and talk to him regarding his work stress. You can also practice yoga with him as it can help clear the thoughts . It is advisable that you seek help from a clinical psychologist for a proper diagnosis and understanding of his symptoms . You can also reach out to me through the practo app for any further help or guidance.
Next Steps
consult Clinical Psychologist
Health Tips
spend quality time engaging in his favourite activities , motivate him to share his concerns , practice yoga

He needs to be happy and relaxed at this age. Avoid tensions or arguments at home. Make him feel that all your family members love him a lot. Get therapy from a psychologist. Take him and try to find out what are his frustrations and recent changes within him.
Next Steps
visit a psychologist.
