Oral health of 1 year old
My son has just turned 1 year and he has 8 front teeth, 4 upper and 4 lower. Is there any oral hygiene regime we should start for him. From when he should start visiting a dentist for regular checkup and on what interval.

Yes you should start oral hygiene regime for your child.Finger brush is available for childrens or can use cotton to clean teeth. Use flouridated tooth paste like pedoflor(half pea but sized quantity) Gradually remaining deciduous teeth will erupt by 2 years.

Proper oral hygiene is important  as  the first deciduous tooth erupt or even as earlier from the time of birth. Upto three years parents should use a tiny smear of fluoride toothpaste to brush baby teeth as the first deciduous tooth erupts.Use a soft-bristled baby finger brush or cotton and a light gentle touch when cleaning your baby's new teeth.After threeyear tooth paste amount should be increased upto  half pea size.
