Pain in abdomen, excess gas

Asked for Male, 63 Years

My wife, age 33, is 6 months pregnant. For the last week she is suffering from excess gas. Today there was constant abdominal pain. Doctor said it may be due to bacterial infection. She has prescribed gentamicin 80 mg injection twice daily. I want to know whether it is safe during pregnancy or not???
