Hello there,,,, well from the symptoms you described it could be a simple muscular tightness pain bcos of faulty posture during sleep or could be more like cervical spondylysis or shoulder-arm complex problem...what you need to do is get an xray of your cervical spine done in AP/Lat position and shoulder in AP position...you could apply any diclofinac based gel or intradermal patch over the surface till the pain subsides ....seek an expert opinion in person with an orthopaedician or a musculoskeletal Physio along with your xrays Regards & take care.
