There is a dull but sometimes sharp pain in some layers beneath my right tonsil. Let me say again the pain is not in or on my tonsil, it is in some layers beneath the tonsil. when i touch or squeeze my tonsil it doesn't hurt but when i press it I feel this pain in some layers beneath the tonsil. The pain triggers when I speak. What can it be? Should I worry?

If u feel pain beneath the layes of tonsil i.e. tonsillar bed or below it..u should give atention for 2 things.
1. Peritonsillitis / abscess - in thjs case pain is severe, fever will be there. If u dont have fever no need to worry
2. Styalgia- sometimes called Eagle's syndrom. Because of elongated process. This needs to be evaluated by otorhinolaryngolagist by bimanual palpation amd radiology .
If there is no fever, u can take analgesics for 2 or 3 days...if the pain doesnt go off..take ENT consultation.
