Painless lump on index finger joint
I have had this bump for the last 2-3 years. It's not painful but sometimes it hardens into something similar to calluses on the palm. But, when you peel it off or cut the dry skin using a nail cutter, after a few days it covers up into this bump. 1. Should I be worried ? Is this common? 2. What should I do to get rid of this ? 3. Does this indicate any underlying condition? Or is it a symptom of anything ? Please advise. Thanks.

Could be a number of possibilities, giant cell tumor, myxoid cyst, foreign body granuloma, fibroma.... To name a few; however nothing to be worried about. Kindly get an excision biopsy done by consulting a dermatologist in your city.
