Dear 47 yr old Female for Cape Town Feeling what youre feeling after a break up is normal. Its normal to feel bad when bad things happen to us. Youve mentioned that youre on depression medication. Are you taking counselling/therapy for learning to move on and managing ur depression?
Next Steps
Please consult a Psychotherapist as soon as possible. A combination of therapy and medication works better.
Health Tips

Thank s for asking. You are probably going through a grief period that has got complicated due to depression, anxiety problems. The good part is that since it is an adjustment phase, the problematic symptoms would subside eventually. It is good that you are taking meds. If still you are not feeling completely well, may be the treatment can be reconsidered. Like changing few drugs, adding or escalating doses a bit, etc. Very importantly, you should consider undergoing sessions of therapy like CBT from an experienced Psychiatrist/psychologist. Also lifestyle modifications and setting up a healthy daily routine will help you get over this phase easily.
