Periods after 8 months
Hi doc, My mom is 49 years old and she got her menopause 8 months back (as we assumed) Now after 8 months she again got her periods today with mild back ache. Is it possible? I am little bit worried for my mom.. Please advise.

Postmenopausal bleeding or abnormal uterine bleeding to be investigated by following steps 1,proper history for hypertension or diabetes 2,last menstrual bleeding cloth passage or bleeding pads count 3 PT generalized condition 4 ultrasound of pelvis shows size of uterus ,endometrial thickness Per vaginal and speculum examination And then Fractional curretage for histopathology Cervical  biopsy SOS Then blood investigation and then plan of management, kindly consulty gynaecologist as early as possible

Post menopausal bleeding requires gynaecologist examination and necessary investigation needs to be done. Has she lost any weight?

No, It's not menopause It's perimenopausal bleeding it will be irregular and then it will stop completely
