Persistent cough
I have a persistent cough for months now and nothing seems to help ( antibiotic , syrup , inhalers , nothing ) so doctor thinks it might be tb so he tested me for sputum . The sputum smear result was negative . I am waiting for the sputum culture . My question is : if the sputum culture is positive I am contagious , considering the sputum smear was negative ? And my second question is , what can I take to make this cough stop ?

If sputum is negative ur not contagious no need to if culture positive thn must start on anti tb treatment, if possible send me ur chest xray r ct pic with tht we can say whether ur active r not.
Next Steps
must do a pulmonary function test later confirmin and treat accordingly to releive from cough.
