Persistent cough
My mother has persistent cough. When she takes cough syrup it stops for a while once she stopped taking syrup again same problem again. Please suggest what treatment i should take for her?

If mild,just give steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down.
If severe OR accompanied by other symptoms like wheezing sounds in the breathing and breathlessness,consult your physician asap.
