It has been a week since an injury happened in my left eye( confetti burst onto my face). I was taken immediately to an eye specialist and after a thorough examination was told that there has been post traumatic epithelial Defect and Hyphema. I am able to see things but my vision is blurry and hazy. I am unable to read from my left eye and there's also constant headache. Post my injury I have has two days rest and after that I was taking online classes.
I am taking regular medications and drops. I have been told that it'll take me almost a month to see things properly. I am a little worried, any help?

Hi...
The injury is significant if it has caused hyphema too...so it is going to take time to heal...
The blur vision can be due to disease/ medication ...and will lead to eyestrain if you are exerting too much ...as in ..online classes etc..
You will hv to be under followup and patient....if these are the only issues...should recover ..

Talk to experienced eye specialist online and get your health questions answered in just 5 minutes.
Time taken for an epithelial defect to heal depends on the size of the defect. It can take 24 hrs to 1 week to heal completely depending on the size.
Same goes for hyphema. Absorption of hyphema is dependent on its extent.
You might have been started on Homide or Atropine drop which can be the reason for blurry vision. But blurry vision due to epithelial defect and hyphema can't be ruled out either.
