Preterm baby
Hi, I am 27 yrs old, I have a 6 day old baby, baby was born in 35 th week with birth weight of 1.9 Kg, baby is sleeping most of the times, how should I know if baby is able to hear and she has no problems with hearing? Please guide

OAE is screening test for assessment of hearing which every newborn should undergo. OAE is pass if hearing is normal or Refer in case of some hearing issue. Refer OAE doesn’t mean that child is deaf, consult ENT specialist.

It's always better to do OAE for a newborn to know the hearing. Its a good screening tool. Highly recommended
