Weight gain in pregnancy is on and average total of 11kgs in 9 months period.
Excess weight gain: Suggest improper diet habits. If patient takes high protein diet then excess weight gain is less likely. Weight gain can be due to Gestational diabetes also.
Swelling legs: Many causes
1. Gravid uterus
2. High blood pressure
3. Anemia
4. Protein deficiency again
Pro PL protein supplements required and it has nothing to do with weight gain.
