Prolactin and breast cancer risk
Does hyperprolactima can cause breast cancer in future? What is a parmanent cure of hyperprolactima? I have concerned doctors. Done MRI, taken cabergolin, then after leaving medication and after some time again it rises. I heard the prolactin increases mammary gland tumors and cancers. Is it true plz clarify.

Does not cause breast cancer. For hyperprolactinemia. Need to see scan and blood results. If it is treated with cabergoline then that needs to be continued for 24 months with regular blood tests for monitoring.
