I am feeling guilty that I could not force my child to opt science stream and allowed her to opt Humanities stream as per her choice after 10th Standard while she is competent to pursue science. She is doing well in humanities with Psychology, Political Science, Economics, English and Physical Education but I think that these subjects are light keeping in view her capabilities. She has secured overall 95% in class 11 but I don't feel happy for her and I am unable to think anything else all the time except about her subjects.

Hi, it's not necessary to show excellence in difficult situations only or to show ones capabilities ... one need not be tested in challenging subjects. It's her life and she is doing great. If she would have taken science and then not scored well, she would be unhappy and you would again feel guilty of pushing her in science. As parents we can only guide our children, children have full rights to choose and learn from their mistakes. You have supported your child till now, kindly continue, so that she excels in her field.
