The process of PVD takes 3 to 4 weeks to evolve fully in a young adult. The symptoms of floaters might last a little longer as in the floaters might exist for a few months.
One need to get the retina examined by a specialist and more so if there is sudden increase in floaters or frequent flashes are coming.
Avoid strenuous activities and lifting heavy weights.
