Hi doctor,wheather babies get fever for 1 year vaccination? Because we are planning to travel after the vaccination. If it causes fever we will postpone it. Please suggest me

Hi thanks for writing to Practo. 1 years is usually Hep A vaccine. ( now it depends if any other vaccine was pending in your list and it's posted now). Usually with Hep A there is not much fever. But in kids sometimes you cannot say for sure, some babies can have mild fever. So Incase it's a small tour, u may vaccinate after u r back
Reactions to vaccines vary from child to child,even for same vaccine
Hepatitis A vaccine is due at this age,which usually does not have any post vaccination reactions,BUT as I said,it varies.
In case fever does occur,it'll be mild,give just paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required.
Do travel,enjoy yourself,but carry paracetamol along!!!
