Rabies ARV on 0,3,7 with PrEP done.
Hi all, due to my pet dog's frequent nibbling issue I had a series of shots taken in July 27,31& Aug 4 (0,3,7) . After three doses I have taken another single shot of vaccine on September 7 and Oct 31. So total 5 shots in last 4 months . My recent exposure to a stray dog licking my finger tip while I was feeding it and I unknowingly used the same finger to eat 2mins later caused me panic and made go for rabies vaccination again. Now currently 0,3,7 on Jan 4,7,11 are done while first two were in gluteal . My two concerns 1. Since my pet dog is vaccinated and rabid free and still health can I consider my earlier 5 doses as PrEP dose and will it give me immunity 2. With the current course shall I retake my day 0,3 since they're given in gluteal . Or is it okay to carryon with further doses ?

GLUTEAL REASON NEVER EVER IS THE SITE FOR ARV. R U AN OCD GUY?? SO MANY DOSE OF ARV, YET YOU WANT TO GO FOR TWO DOSES OF VACCINE?? ONE FULL COURSE GIVE U PROTECTION FOR 9-10 MONTHS IN INDIA. SO U R ADVICESABLE TWO BOOSTER DOSE ONE AT SIX MONTHS ANOTHER AT ONE YEAR. THIS IS THE REGIME. ALL ABOVE YOUR PET IS VACCINATED SO WATCH THE DOG ANY ILLNESS, BEHAVIOUR CHANGE, NO APPETITE THAN CONSULTATION WITH VETERINARY AND THAN DECIDE FOR VACCINE. OVER VACCINATION MAY HARM YOUR BODY. SO THINK 100 TIMES. OK U CAN GO FOR RABIES ANTIBODY TEST.
