Due to gluteal pad of fat Absorption of vaccine is lower from gluteal region as compared to deltoid region.
Next Steps
ideally the vaccination should be on deltoid region.

There are different schedules / site / type of injections Gluteal region is usually not preferred for intramuscular injection of Rabies vaccine as can result in lower protection (results in lower neutralizing antibody titers)
