How to find the spherical equivalent( including cylinder) in terms of -D power if I have both spherical and cylindrical? If the prescription is as below: Left eye sph -4.5 Cyl -3.5 axis 10 Right eye sph -4 cyl -3 axis 180 What is the spherical equivalent? Should I add both spherical and cylindrical power together? What is the formula?

Hello Spherical equivalent: spherical power+ cylindrical power/2 In above case: right eye: 4+3/2= 5.5
