An anomaly scan is an ultrasound scan which is an ultrasound which is carried out between 18-22 weeks of pregnancy, it is done to measure the fetus so that growth abnormalities can be recognized quickly later in pregnancy, and to assess for congenital malformations and multiple pregnancies The appointment will be dependent on availability of the ultrasound at any investigation centre and the report has to be given to your treating obstetrician.
