Usually no dental procedure is carried out during the 1st and 3rd trimester of pregnancy. However in the 2nd trimester certain procedures can be performed and RCT is one of them. Right now would be the right time to go ahead with the procedure rather than delaying it.
Next Steps
Go for the treatment before the third trimester starts.
Health Tips
Medication prescribed by your dental surgeon should in no way be contraindicated in pregnancy. Just be careful about that.

Any painless dental treatment can be performed during 2nd trimester of pregnancy.  By a good clinician, with his latest  set of painless injections can perform a painless root canal treatment leading to no stress to the patient.  However in your best interest, get in touch with the attending gynecologist and get his/her opinion before embarking on the dental procedure. Get his approval on type of medication allowed during treatment. We have performed emergency dental treatments during 9th month of pregnancy too without any complications.
Next Steps
so let a good dentist decide a plan for rct and then make him communicate with gynecologist for further plan.
Health Tips
dentist usually is expected to make the patient s neck and body covered with lead apron so that if an xray is required during the procedure , it does not affect the mother's womb. I hope this helps.
