Semi solids for 6 month old
Hello all, my girl is turning 6 month old soon, please suggest best semi solids to introduce her. And how many times a day we should give semi solids?? Can we use Jaggery for babies?? Please advise on it and thank you in advance

First give liquid base food then start semisolid food as per child's response...food should be home made... You can give jaggery in liquid base after 6 completed months of age..

Actually babies need to be exclusively breast fed till 6 months of age. After that u can start complimentary feeding like u mentioned including ragi porridge, cereals, pulses,rice n vegetable or fruit puree by starting 2-3 times a day and gradually increasing it to 5-6times a day along with on demand breastfeeding (to be continued till 2yrs age if possible) Next Steps *From around 8months to 1yr age incude family pot diet with various textures and variety Helpful Tips *You can add jaggery to your ragi porridge *use sprouted pulses for improving nutritional value
