Serenace and it's earlier change in size
Serenace is made by rpg limited , they have changed its packaging and size recently .. earlier the 5mg tab was bigger and harder , now they have reduced its size so that one can swallow easily .. but after reducing size it breaks into two pieces when you try to take it out from strip . My question is that is it possible that by breaking haloperidol into two equal portions the efficacy decreases , as my mother is not responding now .. it is not tolerence or any stressor thing as she is not taking for long , efficacy vs pieces any relationship ?

Breaking in two pieces may not affect Efficacy.
Serenace is also available as liquid, ( 2 mg per 1 ml), you can you that liquid for your mother, as it is easy to take and easy to titrate the dose.
