Severe depression, loss of concentration
Been in depression since 2 years, trying hard to get out of it through following physical workout regimen. Studies and my preparation for CSE has been ruined.

I appreciate your efforts to overcome the depression. Physical activity does matter to handle the depression. Also, you need to understand the reason behind your disinterested attitude or sadness to handle  it holistically.

Some non-pharmacological measures to overcome depression are as follows. 1. Practice mindfulness. It involves focusing on the present moment. 2. Listen to good happy music as food for the soul. Upbeat and happy music alters brain chemistry and can improve your mood. 3. Use touch therapy such as massage. It lowers stress hormone cortisol and increases feel good hormone oxytocin. 4. Don't skip meals. 5. Boost your vitamin B by supplement. 6. Include omega 3 fatty acids in your diet through walnut, flaxseed, fishliver oil capsule. 7. Stop negative self talk. 8. Keeping busy is an effective way to overcome depression. 9. Connect with friends. Social support is absolutely essential to depression recovery. 10.  Forgive others. 11. Regular exercise. 12. Keep faith in yourself. 13.  Pick up a former hobby. 14.  Express your self creatively through music, art, and writing.

Depression needs counseling to understand what is the cause and why is it still there even after 2 years. Also it is important to work on the feelings to get out of this state.
