We can’t take any x-rays for you right now as you’re pregnant. So we can do a re-root canal (repeat root canal) for that tooth to ease your pain and discomfort. Any medication that you take would be with the approval of your gynaecologist.

Hello Based upon the x-ray findings, we can decide if we can go for re RCT or extraction But before proceeding for any treatment, we need to have the concern of the gynecologist if we can go ahead with the treatment

Upon review these were the findings - C/c -Patient complains of sever pain and swelling in a previous RCT done 2years ago Now the patient is 6month pregnant Drug allergies? Elaborately these are to be done for - Counsel and evaluate the patient for a re RCT of tooth as facing severe pain and discomfort. As it is 2nd trimester into pregnancy and somewhat safe -and dental condition is severe, to avoid invasive treatment such as extraction and later bone formation, suggesting evaluation for re RCT. Advise for before entering 3rd trimester. Word of caution with gynecology Provisional diagnosis - Caries and infection of teeth with pain and swelling causing discomfort. The tooth got a RCT done 2yr back (and now the patient is 6month pregnant) Differential diagnosis - Diagnostic tests - clinical evaluation for re RCT, gynecology opinion Treatment advise for - re RCT extraction? (not suggested) Prognosis - fair
Next Steps
clinical visit for evaluation of re RCT
Health Tips
surgical extraction and later bone formation, more metabolic activity

Please send the picture. Consult your gynaecologist, you can go for dental treatment or not, or which kind of painkillers you should take . After that visit a dentist.

Hai , you can opt for two things . 1. You can go for extraction, but should consider age and post extraction pain ( you cannot take pain medications in pregnancy) 2. Re root canal treatment can be started and medication can be placed inside the tooth , which will help in reducing pain and swelling . No medication is required.
Next Steps
consult a doctor
