Shingles and HIV
My friend has onset of shingles for past few days. He is undergoing treatment for it. I read shingles can be because of HIV and i am not sure what to do. He has blisters on his forehead and the eyebrows (getting treatment for that too). Doctors said it could be the stress causing it but i am not sure if thats the case. He is not sexually active for past year and has no other symptoms as such. Any advise would be helpful.

Shingles is not because of hiv. But hiv patients can have shingles as a complication. Two different viruses, two different situations. Kindly consult online for proper assessment and treatment

Shingles are more common in  hiv positive people. He needs to  undergo treatment of present conditions and  investigations  for it's associated  factors like hiv   diabetes  etc
