I have dry skin patches on my hips, and I sometimes get more of them after showers across my body, there is no discoloration of any sort. I also sometimes start itching profusely if its too hot or humid.

The dry patches could be a sign of infection; proper examination would be warranted to comment accurately. I would recommend- either meet a qualified dermatologist in person or you can send me a photo for online consult and we can take it further from there. Take care.
