Slate pencil addiction
Hi, I used to eat slate pencils when I was my high school . I started addiction towards them after I got my first period. I used to eat boxes of slate pencils everyday. It did affected me my haemoglobin levels were low but now everything is fine . I'm scared of future like if it may cause stones in kidney or stomach or any other dangerous disease like cancer. I have left eating eating them. It's been more than 9 years I stopped eating them. Will it affect me ? I used to travel by bicycle to school. Daily I used to ride bicycle for 2km. May be that exercise protected me. Recently, I have been thinking about my past mistakes and getting anxious about them . Kind advice and positive words will make a great change in my mind.

As you have given up on having slate Manu years ago , you should not be concerned much about it.Adequate water consumption,healthy diet , positive thoughts,daily physical activities will definitely help you.unlikely to affect your body systems after so many years.If at all your thoughts still bothering you ,get some blood investigation that includes CBC , renal function tests , thyroid function tests , electrolytes , calcium and phosphate levels, glucose level,liver function tests and urine analysis plus an ultrasound scan of the abdomen.
