Hi , My wife is 6 months pregnant and she is saying that she is having pain in the uterus while walking. Is this common or do we need to consult the doctor? Regards, Srikanth.

There are many causes of pain in 2nd trimester.. Most commonly this type of pain during walking may be due to the laxity & increased mobility of the joint during pregnancy due to hormone like relaxin & progesterone.. It may also be stretching pain due increase in size of the uterus & consequent irritation of the neighbouring nerve plexus ..
