yes dear this is the right time for repair ,otherwise this perforation leads to whistling and giddiness which is irreversible to treat even after major surgery the chances of getting normal from tinnitus will be less ,go for audiometry and revert back to me ,than i can suggest you the best timing for the repair
Next Steps
avoid self cleaning of your ears , and dont let the water go in ears

If it is a small central perforation and is dry, your doctor could just freshen the edges of perforation under local anaesthesia by chemical cauterisation or LASER. This will coax the body to heal it over a period of a couple of weeks. It is a simple Outpatient procedure and costs just a fraction of the cost of an Ear Surgery and requires no bedrest or hospitalisation. Use this app to locate and take an instant appointment if your doctor does not give you this option. I would be happy to help you out.
Perforation in the ear drum should be closed by tympanoplasty. This prevents recurrent ear discharge, improves hearing and prevents further complications. The draw backs are, it is not successful in all cases .You should follow certain precautions in the postoperative period until the graft has taken. You should consult your doctor when ever you get a head cold or ear ache.
